Matt Dubnik for Georgia House of Representatives District 29
Your State Representative Since 2017
Born right here in Gainesville, I am a conservative Republican, small business owner, father, husband and someone who is active in my community. I have had a desire to serve my community since I was a young boy. That’s why my responsibility as a public servant for Gainesville and Hall County is not one I take lightly.
I have been named to several key leadership posts during my first two terms in office, including a 2020 appointment by House Speaker David Ralston as Secretary of Appropriations. My other current leadership responsibilities include Deputy Whip for the Majority Caucus, Vice Chairman of the Juvenile Justice Committee and Vice Chairman of the Game, Fish & Parks committee.
My wife Katie and I call Gainesville home. We are raising our family here, just as our parents raised us in this community. We have strong roots here as we believe it is our job to give back to our community more than it gives to us.
While in the House of Representatives, I have been recognized by my peers, by “watchdog groups” and by various industry associations as a leader on sound conservative policy. My job is to represent you, and thus, I have put you and your family at the forefront of my mind in each decision I make, bringing a common-sense approach to deliver real results that are felt by all.
It has been my honor and privilege to serve the 29th district and I look forward to two more years under the gold dome. While the last four years as your Representative have taught me much, they have also illustrated to me the need to continue to be an advocate for all Georgians on many causes.
I pledge to continue to work tirelessly as your State Representative, so that all Georgians have the chance to live a happy and fulfilled life. It would be my honor to continue serving you in the Georgia House of Representatives, and I humbly ask for your vote during the upcoming election on November 3, 2020.
I graduated from Lakeview Academy in 1999 and received a Bachelor of Science in management and information technology from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003. Since 2014, I have served as the Chief Engagement Officer of Forum Communications, a full-service strategic marketing agency focused on helping businesses, nonprofits and startups find their voice in a crowded marketplace. I currently serve as State Chairman for Georgia Ducks Unlimited, on the Georgia Chamber Board of Directors and on the Junior Achievement of Northeast Georgia Board of Directors. I am a 2018 graduate of Leadership Georgia, a member of Georgia Trend’s 2017 40 Under 40, and recently completed service as a deacon for three years at my church, First Baptist Church of Gainesville, where me and my family are members.
