Rep. Matt Dubnik Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2017-2018 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Dubnik (R-Gainesville) was officially sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 9, 2017, marking his first day of his 2017-2018 term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 154th Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly.

“It is an incredibly humbling experience to be a part of the Georgia General Assembly,” said Rep. Dubnik. “Having my family by my side as I took the oath of office was something I will never forget. I am excited to serve the people of the 29th House District, as well as all my fellow Georgians, and I pledge to work tirelessly on any issue that comes across my desk.”
In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Dubnik to the Game, Fish & Parks; Higher Education; and Interstate Cooperation committees.

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

In addition to representing the citizens of Hall County in the Georgia General Assembly, Rep. Dubnik serves as the chief engagement officer of Forum Communications, a full service strategic marketing agency. Rep. Dubnik is an alumnus of Georgia Institute of Technology where he received his Bachelor of Science in Management and Information Technology. He and his wife, Katie, reside in the Gainesville area along with their children James and Davis.
